New Delhi - The United Nations Development Programme pledged 70 million rupees ($1.5 million) yesterday to India's drive for the prevention and control of the AIDS virus.

The UNDP would provide the support to India's National AIDS Control Organisation as part of a special programme aimed at encouraging "changes in behaviour, policy and programming," the UNDP said.
