Two men were shot in separate paramilitary-style attacks in the North yesterday.

Two men were shot in separate paramilitary-style attacks in the North yesterday.

A 25-year-old man was shot in the right leg at the entrance to a quarry at Ballyduff Road, outside Newtownabbey, Co Antrim, at about 2.30 p.m.

Later, a 34-year-old was injured in the left leg during an assault in the Sunnylands area of Carrickfergus, Co Antrim, at 7.30 p.m.
