Two men were charged in Belfast this morning with a weekend assault which has left a man fighting for his life in hospital.
Mr Steven Lamont (29), of Parkmount Gardens, and Mr William Wilkinson (24), of Shore Crescent, Belfast, were charged with causing grievous bodily harm.
The victim was found with severe head injuries in his home at Graymount Crescent, Greencastle, on Saturday morning.
A detective told the Magistrates Court that he is in the intensive care unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital and his condition is critical.
The two accused were remanded in custody until April 2nd.
