The two people who died in a two-car collision in Co Westmeath yesterday evening have been named.
They are Mr Christopher Whittaker (22) from Mullingar and Ms Mary Heeran (17) from Garvagh, County Leitrim.
A 26-year-old Co Leitrim woman also injured in the collision is described by the Garda as being comfortable in hospital.
The collision occurred at around 6.30 p.m. on the N4 at Rathowen on the Mullingar/Longford road.
