Two men are recovering in hospital this morning after a paramilitary-style shooting in west Belfast.

Two men are recovering in hospital this morning after a paramilitary-style shooting in west Belfast.

A man from the Moyard Crescent area of west Belfast was shot in the ankles and elbows at 10.15 last night.

In a separate attack, a man received gunshot wounds to his ankles and one hand in the Beechmont Parade area just after 10 p.m.

A family is also being treated for shock after pipe bombs were thrown at two houses in the Deerpark Parade area also in west Belfast last night.

A conservatory in one of the houses was seriously damaged and the RUC said it was "a miracle no one was seriously injured".
