Two held over Derry gun attack

Two men have been arrested in connection with a gun attack on an off-duty PSNI officer in Derry earlier this month.

Two men have been arrested in connection with a gun attack on an off-duty PSNI officer in Derry earlier this month.

The men were arrested at their homes in Derry this morning and have been taken to the Serious Crimes Unit at Antrim police station.

They are being questioned over the attack on November 8 thin which a 43-year-old Catholic probationary officer, who joined the PSNI less than two years ago, was blasted with a shotgun after dropping his son off at school.

He received injuries to his face, arm and back.
