Two men have been arrested after the Criminal Assets Bureau carried out a number of searches on properties as part of an investigation into a North Dublin based group of criminals.

The men were detained at Kevin Street and Crumlin Garda stations following the search of five residential properties and four business premises in Cavan, Meath and Dublin.

They were held on on suspicion of having committed offences contrary to Section 31 Criminal Justice Act 1994 and are currently being detained under the provisions of Section 2 Drug Trafficking Act.
