Two drivers involved in a traffic accident last September were both drunk, Swords District Court heard

Two drivers involved in a traffic accident last September were both drunk, Swords District Court heard. Garda Finbar McQuaile said two men he arrested at River Valley Road were more than twice over the legal limit. Michael Mulligan, Brookdale Court, Swords, was fined £350 and disqualified for two years for drink-driving.

Taxi-driver Louis Carter, Cherry Park, River Valley, was on the wrong side of the road when he crashed into Mulligan. He was fined £125 for careless driving, £350 for drink-driving and £350 for having no insurance. Judge Sean Delap also disqualified him for two years.
