Two men were today charged with the murder of a man (50) whose  charred remains were found dumped in a wheelie bin in Derry.

The body of William Trainor, of Gorteen Crescent, Limavady, was found behind the town's Masonic Hall on Sunday.

The pair, who were arrested soon after the discovery of the body, are expected to appear at Derry Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.

It is believed the victim may have been killed in a nearby drinking den and dumped in the bin, which was pushed along the street before being set alight at a derelict site beside the hall.
