Two men have been charged in connection with  an attempted break-in at the Garda's Dublin Metropolitian headquarters on Harcourt Square.

The incident happened at about 9.45 last night.

Graham Byrne, 32, from Diggs Street, Dublin 2, was remanded in custody with consent to bail of €800.

Frederick Howe, 49, from the South Circular Road area appeared on a trespass charge. He was released on bail until June 6th.
