Iarnrod Eireann has been accused of discriminating against disabled passengers after two young men in wheelchairs found there was only one suitable seat for them on a Dublin-to-Galway train.

One of the men, Mr Rick Lawless, had to block a passageway for the entire journey. There were no toilet facilities for them and Mr Lawless was upset by the attitude of Iarnrod Eireann staff, who insisted that he move to the hallway between two carriages.
