The Bru Boru traditional group in Cashel will bring the sounds of Ireland to China in October. The announcement was made by the Chinese ambassador to Ireland, Mr Zheng Jinjong, on a visit to Cashel at the weekend.
Arts Council member Ms Una O Murchu said: "It is a great honour to receive this official invitation from China. It is a tribute not only to Bru Boru but also to those who promoted our unique cultural heritage down through the years."
