A three-day-old baby girl has been found in a apparently abandoned on a car in Cork this afternoon.
The baby was unharmed and is not thought to be in danger. She is being cared for at Cork University Hospital.
Gardaí in Cork have appealed to the infant's mother to come forward, saying shewould be treated with understanding and compassion.
