Three men were arrested after their car was forced off the road by armed police officers on the outskirts of Derry yesterday evening close to the Border with Co Donegal.
The three men, one aged 54, one aged 49 and the other aged 46, were arrested following what a PSNI spokesman said was an operation by officers from their Crime Operations Branch.
The arrests took place on the Derry to Buncrana Road less than a mile from the Border.
A PSNI spokesman said the three men detained were arrested “on suspicion of dissident terrorist activity”. They were later taken to the Antrim serious crime suite for questioning.
