The volume of industrial production for the three months from August to October fell dropped 2.5 per cent when compared with the previous three-months, the Central Statistics Office reported.
Production from all industries in October 2006 was 6.1 per cent higher than the same time last year, on an annual basis, according to seasonally adjusted data from the CSO.
The high-tech and chemical sectors showed an annual increase in production in October of 5.2 per cent, while the traditional sector rose by 8 per cent.
