The teenage girl who was killed in a road crash in Limerick early yesterday morning has been named as 16-year-old Noreen Casey of Grange West, Boher, Limerick.

A second teenage girl is in a critical but stable condition at the Mid-West Regional Hospital. A male passenger in the car escaped with minor injuries.

The three young people were travelling in the car when it hit a tree in Glenstal, near the village of Murroe.
