English Division One side Watford will install former England manager Peter Taylor as Gianluca Vialli's replacement at Vicarage Road, it was reported today.
Taylor was named England's caretaker manager for a friendly against Italy in 2000, and Watford want him to take over from Vialli who was dismissed on Friday.
The Sunnewspaper said Watford were looking for Taylor to take them back to the Premiership after a miserable season which saw the Hornets finish 14th in the last Division One campaign.
Taylor, the former Leicester City manager, has been looking for a new side after parting company with Division Two champions Brighton.
Watford face huge financial problems in the wake of ITVDigital's collapse and have asked every team player to take a ten percent cut in wages as they try to slash a crippling wage bill.
