Synagogues head for new heights

Jerusalem - Europe's Airbus consortium, competing with Boeing to supply El Al Israel Airlines with new planes, said yesterday it had proposed putting a synagogue on the jets it wants to sell the carrier. "You could put a church or a mosque there, but because it's El Al we offered a synagogue," the consortium's Israel representative said.
