Bray Wanderers 0 St Patrick's Athletic 4:Less than 24 hours after Dundalk moved top of the League of Ireland Premier Division, St Patrick's Athletic returned to the summit with a convincing 4-0 win away to basement side Bray Wanderers.

It was a night when the all the meaningful goal action was squeezed into a dramatic 13 minute spell in the first half, when the visitors scored all four goals, and three of them were headers.

What made the defeat all the more hard to swallow was the fact Pete Mahon’s side field five ex-Bray players in his side at the Carlisle Grounds.

Paul Byrne score the opener after 27 minutes before Conor Kenna added a second just after the half hour mark.

The floodgates opened and five minutes later Shane Guthrie got in on the act before Gareth Coughlan closed-out a sensational period with the game’s fourth goal.
