In Lisburn, Co Antrim, a block of flats was damaged when a fire was started at around 3.30 am. The RUC are treating the fire, at Beechland Drive, as malicious and have arrested a man in connection with the incident.

A petrol bomb was thrown through a window of the Traveller’s Rest pub in Lisburn at around 2.00 am. There wasminor damage, but no injuries resulted from the attack.

TheGAA club in Portglenone was damaged last night when petrol - poured through a hole in the roof after slates were removed - was ignited. There were no injuries.

Two stained glass windows were broken in St Nicholas's Catholic Church in Carrickfergus shortly before 2.30 am. Two people were arrested.
