A man was in a critical condition after being shot in what appeared to be a gangland-style attack in Clondalkin in west Dublin last night.
The shooting incident happened at Lealand Close shortly before 9.45pm.
The shooting may be linked to an ongoing feud that has claimed a number of lives in the area.
The man was brought by ambulance to Tallaght hospital, where a spokesman described his condition as critical late last night.
Initial indications were that the man, who is in his twenties, was shot in the head.
