An apparent drive-by shooting in Portarlington, Co Laois last night is being investigated by gardai.
The shooting happened at around 11.30pm. A short time later a blue Audi found on fire outside the town. This car had been stolen earlier in the month in Maynooth, Co. Kildare.
Both scenes have been sealed off for a technical examination.
