A man who sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl in a horse yard on New Year's Day has been remanded on continuing bail for sentence by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court next October.

Jonathan Flood (30), with addresses at St Mary's Mansions and Henrietta House, Dublin, pleaded guilty to committing the offence at Henrietta Lane on January 1st, 1996.

Judge Joseph Mathews directed the preparation of a victim impact report on the girl.

Mr Paul McDermott BL, prosecuting, told the judge that the victim specifically wanted the defendant's name and address published.
