LONDON - Doctors have refused to allow a second woman's request to be impregnated with sperm taken from her husband while he was in a coma after a road accident. A leading test tube baby doctor, Lord Winston, advised against the woman being treated, it was reported yesterday.

The husband had known his wife was undergoing fertility treatment - before the accident. Her request was turned down because he had not given consent to his sperm being used.
