Seat on UCD governing body filled

 

THE election to the governing body of University College Dublin which was left vacant by the death of Professor Gus Martin, has been won by Ms Cliona de Bhaldraithe Marsh.

Ms Marsh polled 2,382 votes, compared to 1,940 votes for Mr Frank Bradley and 1,683 for Mr Malcolm Byrne. She has been with the UCD Department of German since 1970, has served on the RTE Authority and is a former president of the Irish Association of Applied Linguistics.
