The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed it is giving consular assistance to the family of a Dublin man currently missing in Turkey.

Mark O’Neill (35), from Swords, County Dublin went missing in the Bodrum area of Turkey last Friday morning at 4.00 am.

Mr. O'Neill  was on holiday with his brother Brian and sister-in-law Denise. He is described as being 6' 4" , with dark short hair and a sallow complexion. When last seen he was wearing a yellow t-shirt, black jeans and black runners.

Mr. O'Neill was having some medical problems and may appear disorientated. He was last seen at Villa Manderines in the Omurca area of Bodrum.

Turkish police are helping family members who have travelled out to the country to look for Mr O'Neill.

The missing man's family has appealed to holiday-makers who are travelling to or from Bodrum to get in touch with the Gardai if they have any information on the whereabouts of Mr O'Neill.
