An exhibition of sculpture by Co Westmeath artist Dolores Nally opens this weekend at Belvedere House and Gardens, Mullingar.
The artist has put together a portfolio of 10 stone sculptures over the past five years, all of which will be on display in the gardens until September 9th.
Based in Rathowen, Dolores Nally studied art and design at Crawford College.
She worked for the OPW for four years on the restoration of both Longford Castle and Portumna Castle and then spent some time designing a series of decorative "spring stones" for Stephen Pierce's Shanagarry pottery studio.
She has exhibited her work at the Midlands Arts Resource Centre in Mullingar and also in Co Longford. The new exhibition features a "voluptuous" ballerina and a stone globe, with the words "You are my world" set in gold leaf.
The Minister for Public Enterprise, Ms O'Rourke, opens the exhibition on Saturday.
