A man was charged yesterday with the murder of a New Age traveller arising from a fatal stabbing incident at Kilcommon, Co Tipperary, after a traffic accident on Tuesday.

Mr John James Kelly (36), also a New Age traveller, of The Commons, Curreeny, Kilcommon, appeared at a special sitting of Limerick District Court. Mr Kelly, who is believed to come from Ayrshire, Scotland, was charged with the murder of Mr Chris Cybulla (42) at Curreeny on December 28th. He was remanded in custody until January 5th.
