London - The United States and Britain have a lot to apologise for over their support of Iraq while Saddam Hussein was building up his military might, Mr Peter Hain - a junior minister in the Foreign Office - said in a speech to parliament defending the current sanctions against Iraq. Mr Hain acknowledged the West had played a supportive role in the early years of Saddam's rule.
