The RUC are seeking information about an assault on a 15-year-old boy in Newtownards, Co Down, early this morning.
The boy was attacked on upper Movilla Road by a group of men who jumped from a car and beat him with pick-axe handles.
The boy suffered bruising to his shoulders, arms, back and legs.
The white Escort car - registration NXI 7172 - was found burnt out at Bowtown Road on the outskirts of the town.
