New York - A pair of Judy Garland's ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz, the 1939 film in which she played Dorothy, has sold for $666,000 at an auction of Hollywood memorabilia, but the Cowardly Lion costume, expected to command a comparable price, failed to sell.
The slippers were bought by a private collector who has a memorabilia shop in Hollywood.
