A member of the British royal family, possibly Queen Elizabeth or the Prince of Wales, is likely to visit Northern Ireland within the next few days following the Omagh bombing, it emerged yesterday.
A spokesman for Queen Elizabeth, who is on holiday in Scotland, said a visit by a member of the British royal family was "highly likely" but would have to be approved by the British government.
