Such is the demand to see Moby (right) that he's now playing both next Friday and next Saturday night at the Red Box venue, beside the POD on Harcourt Street. Perhaps only Beck can match Moby in terms of sheer wilful variation. Starting out as a hardcore purveyor of punk rock, he eased his way into trance/ambient before going totally electronic. His last album, arguably his best work, featured some stunning mix of old folk field recordings put to a contemporary use. One of the most in-demand re-mixers around, this could be a very special gig. Expect lots of the usual, with plenty of the unusual also thrown into the mix. An A-Z master-class in modern music.
