Gardai in Co Sligo failed to apprehend the occupants of a saloon car after a high speed chase through south Sligo and north Roscommon yesterday morning.
The men, who are suspected of being involved in a number of burglaries in Gurteen, Co Sligo, were chased by a squad car through a number of village before their car crashed into a ditch in Edmonstown, Ballaghaderreen, Co Roscommon, when they escaped on foot over fields.
