LONDON - Furniture plundered from more than two dozen remote churches over the last few weeks was almost certainly stolen by thieves cashing in on the booming antiques market, police said yesterday. Some of the items stolen from the 25 targeted churches in north Cornwall and north and mid Devon could even be on their way to the United States.
