Richard Quinn plans to return to the saddle at Doncaster next Wednesday after nearly five weeks on the sidelines.

The jockey fractured a bone in his knee after being unshipped from Jools about four furlongs out in the mile handicap at Windsor on August 9th.

Quinn, who has ridden 43 winners this season, will see surgeon Dr Michael Foy for a further X-ray tomorrow but confidently expects to be back riding on the first day of the St Leger meeting.

"Mentally and physically, the rest has done me the world of good and I will be coming back fresher than most," he said today.
