The PSNI has declared the all-clear following what it said was an elaborate hoax bomb alert in north Belfast.

The PSNI has declared the all-clear following what it said was an elaborate hoax bomb alert in north Belfast.

British army bomb disposal experts were called to the Crumlin Road shortly after 7.00 a.m. and a cordon was put in place.

The Crumlin road was closed as British army technical officers examined several suspect devices along the road.

Staff and pupils at the Mercy Primary School were prevented from entering their school after two suspect devices were discovered at the premises.
