PSNI officer struck by car in Belfast

A PSNI officer has been released from hospital after being knocked down by a car in Belfast last night.

A PSNI officer has been released from hospital after being knocked down by a car in Belfast last night.

The officer was on duty in the University Street area at around 11 p.m. when a blue Honda Civic car drove at the officer, knocked him down, and drove over him.

He suffered cuts, bruises and a leg injury.

The PSNI are not sure whether or not the car had been stolen and have appealed to the public for information on the incident.
