Police in the North are investigating fresh allegations about ill treatment of children with disabilities at a Belfast special school.
The Police Service is already investigating allegations of cruelty to children at the Fleming Fulton School between 1977 and 1998.
A police spokesman said today that more allegations had been received in the past 10 days.
It is understood more than 60 people have been interviewed by police and that the fresh allegations are against former senior members of the school staff.
The police said a report was being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions and it would be for them to decide whether to take action.
The allegations are understood to centre around pupils who lived in residential accommodation at the school and how they were punished for things such as incontinence or not eating their meals.
The Belfast Education and Library Board which administers the school said the matter was under serious and active consideration.
