A botched robbery in Northern Ireland may have caused a frail elderly woman’s death, the PSNI said today.

Eileen Corrigan (62) was found at home in Boyd's Row, Armagh, on October 6.

Police believe she was dead for at least two days before she was discovered.

Det chief inspector Debbie McMaster said: "One of our lines of enquiry is that  this may have been a burglary or robbery gone wrong that tragically resulted in  Eileen's death.

Detectives will today revisit the scene. They have renewed their appeal for anybody with information to contact them.
