The former home of the Dillon family in Ballaghaderreen, Co Roscommon, has been proposed as the headquarters of the Western Development Commission. The now unoccupied building was home of John Blake Dillon, co-founder of the Nation newspaper in 1842, and later that of James Dillon, the former leader of Fine Gael.
