Legal proceedings by the managing director of The Irish Times Ltd against the company were adjourned at the High Court yesterday until next Thursday. A date for a hearing of the case may be set then.
Last month, Mr Chapman began proceedings seeking an interlocutory injunction to prevent the company taking any steps to remove him from his job save in accordance with the principles of natural and constitutional justice.
