Pop superstar Prince is listed among the witnesses in a legal action next week over the cancellation of his Croke Park gig in summer 2008.
The artist has supplied a witness statement in the case that will open before Mr Justice Peter Kelly at the Commercial Court next week.
The case was mentioned before Mr Justice Kelly yesterday, who was told it is proceeding, and that there is no application to give evidence from the US by video-link. The judge was not told whether the artist will appear, but he is named as one of the defence witnesses.
MCD Productions has brought the action seeking some €1.6 million damages over the cancellation of the gig, set for June 16th, 2008.
