The PSNI are investigating disturbances in Derry city last night during which a petrol bomb was thrown.

The incident took place at the Bishop Street area, close to the mainly Protestant Fountain estate.

No damage was caused by the petrol bomb, and no one was injured.

According to reports, rival groups have thrown stones and other missiles on the interface over the past seven nights.

Earlier in the week, three youths aged between 11 and 13 were arrested after a police officer suffered chest and leg injuries.
