A male pedestrian died yesterday afternoon after he was hit by a lorry in Co Westmeath. The incident happened at about 5.45pm on the N4 Mullingar bypass.
The victim, who was in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim is the 102nd person to die on Irish roads this year.
