A man in his 40s has died when he was hit by a van in Co Galway this morning.
Gardaí from Loughrea are investigating the incident which occured at 4.45am in Portumna.
Gardaí in Co Wexford, meanwhile, are investigating a road crash in which a male pedestrian in his fifties died.
The incident occurred in Enniscorthy at 9 p.m. yesterday when the man was hit by a car. Gardaí in Gorey are appealing for witnesses.
Neither victim has been named.
