The Northern Ireland Political Development Minister, Mr Paul Murphy, will accept an international peace award including £10,000 on behalf of the Northern Ireland Secretary, Dr Mo Mowlam, tonight. He is expected to announce that the money will be donated to the victims of violence in the North.
The Viarreggio Versilia International prize was awarded to Dr Mowlam in recognition of her "important activity regarding peace among people."
