More than 26 government soldiers and 17 militants linked to al-Qaeda were killed today in heavy fighting for control of a vital stadium near the southern city of Zinjibar, officials said.
They said the militants managed to seize control of the stadium, which had been used for supplying troops fighting to dislodge the militants from Zinjibar.
