Crescent City - One inmate was killed an d12 were injured when guards opened fire yesterday to stop what officials call a race riot at the Pelican prison in northern California.
Officials sad the riot broke out in two prison yards when about 200 Hispanic prisoners attacked each other with a variety of weapons, including knives.
