The five-year-old won Saturday's Irish St Leger at the Curragh by 13 lengths and trainer Aidan O'Brien is waiting for news about Australian quarantine rules that will determine where he travels.

O'Brien told the Racing Post: "We have not heard anything yet and expect to hear in the next day or two.

"Obviously we are happy that he didn't get a penalty ... but he can't run in the Arc if he is going to Australia.

"After we hear the news then we will sit down and discuss whether he goes into quarantine and goes to Australia or if he doesn't and goes for the Arc."

O'Brien also had news of 2000 Guineas second favourite Rip Van Winkle, who could accompany Duke of Marmalade to Great Leighs later in the month.

"There is a Group One race on Arc weekend and a conditions race at Great Leighs as well so they are both in the mix," he explained. "He needs to run somewhere in the next two or three weeks."
